I am a UKCP registered Gestalt psychotherapist with a previous background in teaching and Advice work.

My main practice is located just outside Witney and is easily accessible by car from Oxford as well as from the villages around Witney. I also work in East Oxford on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Gestalt therapists believe that people are born with the potential to live satisfying and creative lives. Sometimes people get stuck in beliefs and ways of behaving which have been useful in the past but have become limiting. I see my task as a therapist as being to help you to see more clearly what your situation is, find out how you are part of it and experiment with finding new ways to face the difficulty that you are experiencing.

My training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) provides a powerful tool for working with any painful memories from the past which may continue to affect how you experience life now. Dealing with the consequences of old suffering can lead to a new and more satisfying perspective on life.

Cost

I charge £40 for a 50 minute session and encourage weekly meetings where possible. EMDR sessions need a longer session time and are charged proportionately but can be less frequent.

Location - Witney & Oxford

My main practice is about two miles from the centre of Witney, just off the A40, within easy reach by car of Oxford, Witney, Burford, Abingdon and Bicester. I work from a garden office with a view over the countryside and so offer a peaceful and relaxing location for therapy. I also work two days a week in East Oxford.
